Hypothesis: The Completion of Jönsson/Hogmark and the Consequences for Hardness Measurements. 

The work is about the mechanism of hardness measurements of thin films. It is the only work, that regards shearing. Witch is essential for hardness measuring. The method explains easily the cross section of an indentation. The whole deformation and resulting hardness can be reconstructed by a simulation.
